Marianne Seare
I received my BFA in Modern Dance, Minor in Health Education and a Secondary Teaching Teaching Certificate from the University of Utah. Following college graduation I was a Dance Director and Health Education Teacher in the secondary school system. I was inspired to take my first Pilates lesson when I saw how it improved the health and fitness of a family member. I was immediately hooked on the method and I knew I wanted to be a Pilates instructor some day. In 2000, my husband and I moved to San Diego. After practicing the method for three years, I decided to change careers and start my teacher training education. I completed my first teacher training program through the PhysicalMind Institute in 2001.
2003 brought more exciting changes to our family with the birth of our daughter. Having a career in Pilates allowed me to create a flexible schedule where I could balance a Pilates career with motherhood. I went on to study prenatal and postnatal fitness through Stroller Strides(Fit4MOM). I also completed group exercise training in BOSU Integrated Balance, LESMILLS BODYPUMP AND BODYVIVE.
In 2017 I became an ACE certified personal trainer and completed the BASI Pilates Probridge program with Rael Isacowitz. I am also a Balanced Body Barre Fitness instructor, ACE certified health coach and Konnect Method certified through Viktor Uygan.
I enjoy helping clients discover their own motivation for moving and to find connections between Pilates and activities of daily living. I am still inspired to teach Pilates after all of these years because there are always opportunities to learn, improve and grow as an instructor. When I am not working with clients, I love cooking, attending live theater & dance performances and spending time at the beach with my family. I am humbled to be a part of this incredible Pilates team at Spring Theory Pilates!
