I fell in love with pilates almost 20 years ago. As an avid runner and biker, I was seeking something to help compliment and balance out all of that activity. The pilates method resonated with me and helped me connect to my body and movement patterns on a deeper level.
I have a degree in Food Science and Nutrition from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and worked for many years in medical sales. I left the work force to raise my children and vowed I would only return for something I was passionate about. That turned out to be pilates. I became Comprehensive Certified from Balanced Body University and began to share my love of pilates with others through teaching. I am continually interested and curious about all types of movement and movement science and incorporate various modalities into my teaching style. I have been trained in the MELT Method and the Roll and Release method and find them to be integral adjuncts to the pilates work.
I am grateful to be able to teach at Pilates on Cue and now Spring Theory for almost 10 years. I love helping people gain a greater understanding of their own bodies and how they move through the world. To me it is so much more than a workout, it is a way of life.
